CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY POLICY

I. CONCEPT

1. MEANING AND DEFINITION

Corporate Social Responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large

According to Sh. Rajesh Kharabanda, Chairman of CSR Committee "CSR is to actively contribute to the social and economic development of the communities in which we operate. In so doing build a better, sustainable way of life for the weaker sections of society and raise the country's human development index."

However, the company is already investing part of its profits for the larger good of the society much before the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) found a place in corporate World. And The Company will continue striving to achieve a fine balance of economic, environmental and social imperatives, while also paying attention to the needs and expectations of our internal as well as external stakeholders.

2. SHORT TITLE & APPLICABILITY

This policy, which encompasses the company’s philosophy for delineating its responsibility as a corporate citizen and lays down the guidelines and mechanism for undertaking socially useful programs for welfare & sustainable development of the community at large, is titled as the ‘FSPL CSR Policy’.

This policy shall apply to all CSR initiatives and activities taken up at by the company, for the benefit of different segments of the society.

3. CSR VISION STATEMENT & OBJECTIVE

In alignment with vision of the company, FSPL, through its CSR initiatives, will continue to enhance value creation in the society and in the community in which it operates, through its services, conduct & initiatives, so as to promote sustained growth for the society and community, in fulfillment of its role as a Socially Responsible Corporate, with Health concern.

4. THE OBJECTIVE OF THE FSPL CSR POLICY

To directly or indirectly take up programs that benefit the communities in & around its work centers and results, over a period of time, in enhancing the quality of life & economic well‐being of the local populace.

To generate, through its CSR initiatives, a community goodwill for FSPL and help reinforce a positive & socially responsible image of FSPL as a corporate entity

II. RESOURCES

1. FUNDING & ALLOCATION

FUNDING: For achieving its CSR objectives through implementation of meaningful & sustainable CSR programs, FSPL will allocate 2% of its average net profit for the immediately preceding three financial years on corporate social responsibility activities, as per the guidelines issued by MCA

ALLOCATION: A CSR Budget will be prepared and the amount shall be contributed/ spent as per such Budget in following area:

(i) HEALTH AND SAFETY

Our goal is to render quality health care facilities to people/ General Public by joining hands with other organizations to promote health & safety of needy people. For this the company intends to contribute much of its CSR Budget towards Health Sector Areas.

In addition to the above, the company will try to contribute its budget in following health programs:

  1. Providing donations to the charitable hospitals which are involved in providing free/ concessional treatments to the general public.
  2. Organizing and arrangements of free medical camps with supplies of free medicines in the Local Areas.
  3. Arrangements of free eye care and operation camps for the needy and poor patients of the Local areas.

(ii) OTHER ACTIVITIES:

  1. Contribution to various environment associations for planting and maintaining number of trees and parks in the surrounding areas.
  2. Contribution to National Rural Development society engaged in enhancing sewerage facilities in surrounding rural/backward areas.
  3. Providing assistance to sportspersons towards their training and participation in tournaments.
  4. The Company also extends full support towards promotion of cultural heritage.
  5. Contributing in Slum area development in the immediate vicinity of various plants of the company.
  6. Contribution towards Prime Minister National Relief Fund

III. IMPLEMENTATION

  1. CSR programs will be undertaken by the Company to the best possible extent.
  2. The time period/duration over which a particular program will be spread, will depend on its nature, extent of coverage and the intended impact of the program.
  3. By and large, it shall be ensured that at least 90% of the CSR programs are executed in and around the Local areas where the Registered Office of the company situate.
  4. Initiatives of State Governments, District Administration, Local Administration as well as Central Government Departments, Agencies, Self‐Help Groups, etc., would be dovetailed and synergized with the initiatives taken by Freewill Sports Private Limited.
  5. Project activities identified under CSR may be implemented through specialized agencies which could include ‐ Voluntary Organizations (VOs) formal or informal, Elected local bodies such as Institutes/Academic Institutions, Trusts, Self Help Groups, Govt./Semi Govt./Autonomous organizations, Professional Consultancy organization etc.

IV. MONITORING AND FEEDBACK

  1. FSPL CSR Committee Members will also try to obtain feedback from beneficiaries about the programs.
  2. Appropriate documentation of the FSPL CSR Policy, annual CSR activities, and expenditure entailed will be undertaken on a regular basis and the same will be available in the public domain.

V. CONCLUSION

The above guidelines would form the framework around which CSR activities would be undertaken. Since, CSR Policy of the company includes all the community development activities in a broader perspective. Hence, the company will review the Policy from time to time based on changing needs and aspirations of the target beneficiaries and make suitable modifications, as may be necessary.
